Due to Governor Bergam’s announcement today to keep schools closed until April 1st, the New Town City Library will also be closing its doors. We may be able to offer limited services, but will need to talk with local officials tomorrow to be able to make that decision. Please keep an eye out here on our website as well as our Facebook page for updated information as it becomes available. Thank you.
Due to the Governor’s announcement to close schools, The New Town City Library has decided to cancel all after school coding activities, story time, ~Sip and Read~, Computer Clinic as well as the Job Service monthly visits until further notice. We will be monitoring the situation as it unfolds regarding the COVID-19 Pandemic and how it affects us here in North Dakota and locally in New Town. We will also be keeping you posted here on our website as well as on our Facebook page. In the side bar on our home page you will notice links to the World Health Organization (WHO) as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) where they will be posting updated information about the virus as they learn more.
If you need to renew your library books and cannot make it in person, please call the library and we would be happy to renew them for you over the phone (701-627-4846). Also, you can access books, magazines, audio books and more through RB Digital. If you visit their website you will find information to set up an account. All you need is your patron number. RB Digital also has a mobile app which you can find in the Apple or Google Play app stores on your device. If you do not have your patron number, please call and we can help you with that as well.
Additionally, Prenda has made the coding club available at home! If your child misses coming to the library to code, they can still access it at home from their own laptop or desktop computer. Visit their website (https://app.prendacodeclub.com/) and have your child use the same log in they use at the library. If they have forgotten their log-in information, you can call the library for assistance.
All of us at the New Town City Library hopes everyone stays safe and healthy during this time. Our doors will remain open should you need to access the internet or check out any books, though please note below our temporary new hours of operation:
